Produced during the month-long independent study portion of my study abroad program in Peru, the poems and images reflect my observations of the Andean culture that was packaged and sold to tourists compared to the daily routines of city residents. The prints include monotype, stencil, relief print. Without access to a studio, I bought ink from a local commercial printer, soaked my paper in the lid of the portable stove in my apartment, and printed everything with a wooden spoon.
